Nigig (“otter” in Indian). I often go to forest for a long time, for hunting as well… A good knife is necessary. Moreover, it’s all known – if you want something to be done well, do it yourself. So I started making knives. My clients are mainly my friends – all of them are satisfied. I take rest when I make knives.
I generally use the following steels: R6M5, Kh12MF, R9, R18, 65G. Everything is from crude roll steel and round wood. Surely forging and heat treatment. I always make sheaths from cattle leather for my all knives.
I try not to make alike knives. I don’t make anything to order.
