I prefer to make knives of the Northern peoples, the Scandinavian and the Yakut knives as well as axes and machetes. All the production, namely forging, metal works, sheath sewing and other stuff happens at my place, I prefer to do everything myself. Although it has happened that I made knives with blades from other masters. All the materials, with an exception of leather and exotic sorts of wood, I prepare myself as well.
I do not work by order, because it often happens that a knife is being born during the process of its making. I make knives in a single copy, I don’t have and probably will not have two identical knives, because I try to put into my knives the warmth and soul of the Russian hinterland
As I’m alone in my practice, I need to learn everything. I’m always open for communication with people, especially with other masters. I support the way of barter and exchange of materials. I don’t make blades for the future, only on actual basis or by order.
p.s. I do not make cold arms!
